Ansu Fati shared memories of his childhood.


I grew up with my mother, siblings, cousins and maternal grandmother in a house in the Sao Paulo area where we all lived. But since I left when I was very young, I don`t remember much.


I recently asked my sister`s friend to send me a video of the street we lived on, and it looked nothing like the image I had in mind! I really want to go back there.


I started playing outside with my cousins when I was 3 years old. In Guinea-Bissau, children gain freedom almost as soon as they can walk. I remember my mother calling me when dinner was ready.


We usually played barefoot. Those with a little more financial means had plastic sandals. We took the socks, which we rolled together into a ball, and began!
