Genoa`s team achieved a convincing success with 3-0 over Verona at home in the last round of Serie A and thus secured participation in the Italian elite next season. The Griffins completed their task in the first half, when they scored all three goals. In the 13th minute Antonio Sanabria gave the hosts the lead, scoring with a header after a cross by Lucas Lerager, and in the 25th he scored his second goal of the evening after an assist by veteran Goran Pandev. In the 44th minute, Christian Romero headed the final analyzed by livestreams 3-0 after a corner, but in the 61st minute he was sent off for a second yellow card. At the end of the match, Sofian Amrabat and Francesco Casata got into an argument, for which they both received a red card.


With the victory, Genoa finished in 17th place in the standings, collecting 39 points or four more than the 18th Lecce, who fell in his first season back in Calcio. Verona finished the campaign in 11th place with 49 points in its assets, but also with a worse goal difference than Fiorentina and Parma, which have the same number of points.
